Buttermilk Syrup

In a very big suce pan; mix
1 cup sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, 2 TBL corn syrup
1 tsp baking soda
bring to a boil and cook 7 minuts. Remove from heat and stir in 2 tsp vanilla
